Business Experience and Qualifications: The Board has concluded that Mr. Palmer is qualified to serve on the Board because of his extensive leadership experience as a global Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Board Director, as well as his deep expertise in the healthcare services, benefits, and insurance industries. Mr. Palmer brings more than 25 years of experience, including significant leadership roles overseeing large-scale operations and driving strategic growth initiatives.
Mr. Palmer is recognized as an expert in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, having led multiple significant transactions throughout his career. As Chief Executive Officer of Evernorth Health Services, he led the organization’s growth to more than $200 billion in revenue, establishing it as a leader in specialty pharmacy, pharmacy benefits, and care management markets. Prior to that, as Chief Financial Officer of Cigna, Mr. Palmer was responsible for driving the transformational acquisition of Express Scripts, successfully combining two Fortune 100 companies.
Board Experience: Mr. Palmer currently serves on the Board of LifeStance Health, where he is a member of the Audit and Quality Committees. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Kingswood-Oxford School, where he is a member of the Executive and Finance Committees.
